A hateful thing of hatey hate
I hate this project.
No, I mean, I really hate this project.
I hate how it looks.
I hate the crimp it's putting in my neck.
I hate all the knitting it's keeping me from doing.
I hate tinking.
I hate ripping back to the lifeline.
I hate picking up from there and not having enough stitches on the needle.
I hate the thought of giving over so much of my free time to something which is filling me with rage.
Haaaaaaaaaaate.

You could . . . um . . . not do it?
You know what we could do. We could bag this shit. We could find something MUCH saner and easier and that we could choose in advance because we knew what it looked like, and knew we liked it. We could choose something described with the words "easy" or "beginner." We could spare ourselves the TEN MILLION e-mail digests.
I'm just saying. We have options.
Life is too short to knit stuff you hate, and to deal with twee e-mail.
Ana, I am thinking you have the right of it. And I haven't even had coffee yet.
May I suggest http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring06/PATTtendrils.html ?
Jesus, you're reading the emails? That's enough to put anyone over the edge. I'm doing fine with the pattern, but I'd have chucked it ages ago if I hadn't gone to "Special Notices Only."
I had it set on digest. I thought, foolishly, that would suffice. WHAT WAS I THINKING.
Truly, now that I've checked out other laceweight, I think part of my problem was the Habu is so, SO damn teeny. I'd have to be knitting on 1s or 2s, which makes for the crazy, with that pattern.
