Rage

My hate for this pattern knows no bounds.
I have 3 inches left to go which will likely take the better part of 2 days, minimum, it's that obnoxious.

And I am sick.
And just got my period.

And want to do anything- ANYTHING- but work on this goddamn thing.

Unfortunately, I must finish it, as it's on deadline for a photoshoot.

Uncanny:

Also sick.
Also menstrual.
Knitting the 168-row COLLAR for Gabby, which must then be SEWED ON.

Of course, I at least get to wear my finished product eventually.

Poor 'wench!

How can Gabby be 168 rows? Is that stitch count?

This thing is 372 stitches on the needle. Per row. Nnnngh.

I asked myself that about 15 times.

It's cast on 26 stitches, then repeat a 14-row pattern 12 times so that you end up with a sort of wedge-shaped thing. Then you "attach the short edge" and center the collar seam at the back. And, well, then the tears set in. You know how spatial relationships befuddle my dumb cracker mind . . .

I'll have you know that made so little sense I got off my ass, marched down the hall, grabbed my Rowan, Smackier Picture and hunkered down to read.

Holy fucking crap, that is possibly the most insane thing I have read.

Can I point out you will be here in a few short weeks? Bring the pieces and we'll assemble it together.

I know. I look back on the days when I thought sewing the collar on was whack with some fondness for the dewey-eyed innocent that I was. Smack-fucking-tastic this pattern is. And yet, I do believe it is less so than what you are knitting.
